HeliVation Helicopters LLC, In Perry Georgia offers flight training programs for the following certificates and ratings:

Private Pilot

 

 

 

 

 

Private Helicopter Pilot Certificate: 

  • ï‚·  Minimum 17 Years Old to Take Flight Test (age 16 for Student Pilot & Solo) -Can Begin Training at Any Age

  • ï‚·  Must Read, Write, Understand, and Speak English

  • ï‚·  Obtain a FAA Medical Certificate (Prior to first Solo Flight)

  • ï‚·  Pass an FAA Written "Knowledge Test" (Prior to Taking FAA Practical Flight Test)

  • ï‚·  Complete 40 hours Minimum Flight Time Including 10 hrs of Solo Flight (See details below)

  • ï‚·  Pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test

       30hr flight instruction        $320/hr          $9600.00

       10 hr solo                          $275/hr          $2750.00              

       Total                                                         $12,350.00

Private Pilot - "Add-On" Helicopter Certificate Requirements

  • ï‚·  NO FAA WRITTEN Exam Required

  • ï‚·  Already hold a Private (or higher) Pilot Certificate

  • ï‚·  Hold a Current 3rd Class (or higher) FAA Medical Certificate

  • ï‚·  Complete 20 hours Dual Instruction minimum flight time

  • ï‚·  Complete 10 hrs of Solo Flight

  • ï‚·  Pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test

        20 hr flight instruction     $320/hr            $6,400.00

        10 hr solo                        $275/hr            $2750.00

        Total                                                         $9,150.00

 

     Requirements
 

- Be at least 17 years of age

- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate.

- Receive a minimum of 40 hours of flight time including training and                  solo flight.

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.

 

Commercial Pilot

 

 

 

 

  • ï‚·  Be At Least 18 Years Old to Take the Commercial Helicopter Practical Flight Test

  • ï‚·  Already hold a Helicopter Private (or higher) Pilot Certificate (not always required)

  • ï‚·  Hold a Current 3rd Class (or higher) FAA Medical Certificate

  • ï‚·  Minimum of 150 hours of Flight Time, 100 hours of which must be in Powered Aircraft

 

 

50 hours in Helicopters

  • ï‚·  Minimum of 100 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time, 35 Minimum in a Helicopter

  • ï‚·  A Helicopter Instrument Rating is NOT Required

  • ï‚·  10 Hours of Instrument Training in an Aircraft is Required

  • ï‚·  NO FAA WRITTEN Exam Required for Those Who Hold a Commercial Airplane Certificate

  • ï‚·  Pass the Commercial Helicopter FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test

  • ï‚·  150 hrs in helicopters total:

  • ï‚·  40 hrs from Private                                                             $12,350.00

  • ï‚·  10 hr flight instruction Instrument  $320/hr                       $3200.00*

  • ï‚·  34 hr flight instruction Instrument  $320/hr                       $10,880.00

  • ï‚·  66 hr solo flight                              $275/hr                       $18,150.00

  • ï‚·  Total including Private Add-On                                           $44,580.00**

  • ï‚·  *This is instrument training in helicopter you have the option to do instrument training in

    fixed wing which will reduce the cost of the training.

 

  • Commercial Pilot - "Add-On" Helicopter Certificate Requirements

    • ï‚·  You DO NOT have to hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate in Airplanes to earn your Commercial Certificate in a Helicopter.

    • ï‚·  Up to 65 hours of your fixed-wing PIC time may be applied towards the 100-hour PIC requirement for the helicopter Commercial Certificate.

    • ï‚·  35 hours of helicopter PIC for the helicopter Commercial. You will already have at least 10 hours of PIC when you obtain your Helicopter Private (or Private "Add-On") Certificate. Then, you only need an additional 25 hours of helicopter PIC to meet the Commercial helicopter requirements.

    • ï‚·  If you already hold a Commercial Airplane or ATP Certificate, you do NOT need to take the Helicopter commercial written "Knowledge Test." If you don't hold a Commercial Airplane Rating, you will need to take the Helicopter Commercial Written "Knowledge Test".

    • ï‚·  50 hrs in helicopters total:

    • ï‚·  30 hrs from Private Add-On                                        $9150.00

    • ï‚·  10 hr flight instruction          $320/hr                         $3200.00

      ï‚·  10 hr solo flight                    $275/hr                         $2,750.00

    • ï‚·  Total including Private Add-On                                   $15,100.00*

    • ï‚·  *10hr of instrument instruction is required for commercial certificate. You should have

      this training from Airplane Commercial rating.

    • ï‚·  7 hr instrument instruction $320/hr $2,240.00*

    • ï‚·  *Instrument training can be done in airplane at different rate.
